The Junior Room are starting to learn all about sounds. This week we were learning about ‘ccc castanets’. Tíarna brought in her flamence dress and castanets that she got on her holidays in Spain. Kaylee also brought in her castanets. Check out this video of us doing our song!

On Monday 22nd October 2012 we said goodbye to Sheila who has been teaching us Athletics since September. Sheila presented every child with a gold medal for participation.

On Friday 19th October 2012 Liam Doherty and Brian worked with the Senior Room to create a drama based on respecting one another. The Senior room then performed the drama for the school community!

During Maths week the Junior Room completed a Maths Trail. We had lots of fun finding shapes and counting around our school.

In the Junior Room we love doing lots of art!

We are very pleased to announce the commencement of Club na Gaeilge after school club  in Hollymount NS. Club na Gaeilge is run by Mrs. Gleeson of Naíonra Sraid an Mhuilinn. We are having great fun learning Gaeilge le chéile.
